Hello!!
Wow, I've been away from this computer for A-LONG-TIME! The last post was March 2nd. Thank you, faithful friends, for the nice comments while I was "away."
I've not actually been anywhere, just doing my daily business, and falling asleep before I get to the computer. I've recorded several movies on the DVR, which is now my new favorite toy, and I've been watching them in the evenings. I must tell you, though, that I usually fall asleep before the movie is over, so it takes me two to three evenings just to see one movie. I gave up TV one year for Lent. I'm thinking that I probably should have done it again this year! I LIKE evening TV time very much. Almost as much as a good bag of chips or a big hunk of chocolate.
Which leads me into the next paragraph.
I need to go to the sidebar and change my numbers. The water aerobics ended last week as the facility shut down the pool area, until the end of May, to retile. With this event, I began step aerobics this week. This has been fun and I'm looking forward to going again tomorrow. Although I know that more calories are burned in the water, the step workout makes me feel like I've really done something. Sweat, a few tears, although no blood, makes me feel like I've worked very hard. I say tears, which is a mere exaggeration, because my tennis shoes are old and my arches K*I*L*L*E*D me the first two days of exercise. I have to get new shoes today or I'll never make it during tomorrow's class. My arches were on fire.
I've failed one of my Lenten sacrifices. I hope to get on top of it again today and get back on track. My laundry has gone from molehill to mountain, again, in just a few short days. Once I let that slip, there was no stopping the avalanche. If I made the kids use their towels more than once, this would cut down on SO MUCH of what I have to do, but taking and advanced biology class in college cured me from that. Do you know how many germs live in wet towels? Then, go and use it again the next day without washing it? I don't think I could do that. I've lived with enormous amounts of laundry for the last 14 years. If I look at this in a positive way, I really only have about 14 more years to do this. After that it will be laundry for just Hubby and me.
I've been doing okay on not indulging in unnecessary yummy things, but the weight is not dropping like I think it should. When I reach 25 pounds lost, I'll post it over in the weight loss box. Until then, I'm leaving it where it is.
I got out of bed this morning and got myself to the gym by 5:55am. I took my oldest son with me. We lifted weights and then he shot free throws while I rebounded for him. He wants to tryout for the high school basketball team, so he's trying to improve his shot.
I was home by 7am. I kissed Hubby, told him that he could sleep in this morning, and got the kids ready for school. I've changed the laundry and read the daily readings for today, but that's all I've done this morning. It is time to get busy!
I'm sure I have some good pictures to post. I'll do that just as soon as I get batteries for my camera.
To God be the Glory!

My older son figured out the DVR and has been recording his favorite shows. We get together as a family to watch them (skipping through the commercials!). His two favorites - America's Funniest Videos and Mythbusters - two great shows for the family to watch.
Oh no! We use the same towels for a WEEK! But, come on Lisa, whose kids don't get sick? My children have not thrown up, coughed or had a fever in 2 and a half years! I read somewhere that kids need to get a little dirty--it's good for their immune systems! Give yourself a break and hang up the towels and let them dry properly and don't wash them for a week! Ha Ha!
Hey girl! Where ya been? I have a new blog again!
