Sacrament

Saturday my daughter celebrated the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
It was a nice ceremony. She was so excited and it anxiously awaiting her first Eucharist.

I didn't really care for the fact that the interim DRE changed things and had the kids do a group Act of Contrition. But, it seemed to flow smoothly and all the kids felt so proud. It was great.

Congratulations to her!
My husband teaches children about the Sacrament of Reconciliation using household bleach and food coloring...I think you can imagine what he does with "coloring" up the soul darker with sin and clearing it up again with the bleach to be clean. One has to be VERY careful, however...you use clear plastic ups, etc. Anyway, the kids love it. Then he stresses to them to "I want you to remember one thing for me...Do not
ever ever ever ever be afraid to tell the priest your sins or faults. Never. There is nothing at all that you can say to him that he would not want you to feel okay to share. He will help you and be there. Do not be afraid."
The kids love it. Anyway...congrats again! Suzanne
