History Day

Today was PC History Day. This is an annual event put on by the Leadership PC Association.
Phil portrays a man who was named Arthur Honnald. This lad ran in the land run with his father and brother. I portray a woman of the prairie. It is always a fun time. Here are some pics of Phil and me doing our thing.

My great grandfather was in one of the Oklahoma land runs! They settled in a town called Okarche, a bit north of OKC.

That is very interesting, Steve. I've learned a lot about the land run from doing this yearly gathering. My son tells the true story of a man who stood in a line 3000 wide and 400 deep to run for land. That is a LOT of people!!!

Yes, Travis, that IS a nice way to honor the veterans. Will you be singing??

Thanks ukok (I have to know your name. Saying ukok makes my tongue feel like I'm speaking a different language), for the compliment. It was a fun day.
