Hi, John. I'm ready for snow.
Hey, something has been bugging me and I have to ask. First, you know that when I comment about football being so "BORING" on your blog, I'm only kidding, right? Well, the other day when I asked when you were going to stop blogging about football and start blogging about something interesting (or something like that), your sister commented that I just needed "to get over it and get a life." That has been bothering me ever since and I just want you to know that I think your blog is great and I was just having fun teasing about football. I couldn't tell if your sister was being serious or funny. I pray it was funny, but sometimes one never knows, especially with typed words, you know?
Anyway, I guess I'm just sensitive, because if I had offended you, you wouldn't still be visiting here, right?
I am sure that she was being funny in a sarcastic kind of way...that is definitely her style, sarcastic humor. It doesn't come through too well electronically. I am sure it was her being funny.
I think it was my sister Margaret, right? (I have two other sisters, they comment/read my blog less frequently).
M is pretty harmless anyhow, her bark is often worse than her bite, although she is one of the few women who stands 5'2" and is 100# soaking wet whom I have seen stand down guys in the 6'5" range. She is a ball of fire at times, a throwback to the old time social activists, she almost got kicked out of college for staging a sit-in in the dean's office, it even made the Chicago Tribune.
She is the one I am closest to, not just because of age (she is almost 2 years younger than me), but probably because of her openness, you know where you stand with her at all times, and if you are acting like an ass she will tell you so, even in church!
Just don't get a few beers into her...it is ugly sometimes.
That's what I thought, John, but just wanted to be sure. Thanks for the clarification!
