Calgon...........Take Me Away!

Anyone remember this commercial, "Calgon, take me away?"

Well, AWAY is where I want to be today. I've had a real crappy day. I'm in a bad mood, I don't want to be nice to anyone. I've nagged and I've hagged. I almost quit co-teaching RE today. I almost bit a good friend's head off because SHE was being a hag. I wanted to spank every kid I have and a few that weren't even mine.

Sunshine on my shoulder makes me happy.

I think that a glass of wine will do me good. Hey, maybe my next post will be much brighter---or much more slurred, we'll see!

Lisa, knowing that you feel this way to is a huge comfort to me, even if it isn't to you....because it makes me realise that I am not a bad mum, just one who get's overwhelmed from time to time.

Sometimes there have been moments when I have felt like walking out of the door and not coming back. But I haven't ever done it. Feelings are transient, these feelings pass.

Ploughing on through these darker days even when we feel like crap, shows God how much we love Him and those that He has given us to care for - even when we feel like we are going to implode!

God's Blessings be upon you and your family!

Thanks, friends. I actually didn't have any wine, I had sleep. I tucked the kids into bed, left the dishes in the sink, crawled into my recliner with a big blanket, and dozed off while watching Everybody Loves Raymond.

I feel great today. I got the kids off to school then went and walked 1.5miles. I also worked out in the weight room. I've had a healthy lunch and a good amount of water already, so MAYBE the rest of the day will go well.

Lisa, I used to use that phrase all the time, so much so that my sister bought me a calgon bath set that had that phrase on the outside of the box.

If you do light candles in the bathroom, for heaven's sake, make sure they are blown OUT completely... or you might get a bathroom remodel via fire like me!

Boy, can I relate to that! I've said that phrase in front of my kids before, and they look at me with that blank stare. . . Of course, they have NO idea what I'm talking about!!! But, I am glad to hear you're feeling better - it's amazing what a good night's rest and proper nutrition can do for us, isn't it?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and your very kind comments - I appreciate it! I look forward to getting to know you better.
