Pain and Agony

I AM DYING. My body does not like exercise. The Ibuprofen bottle is my friend. AND, I have to go back tomorrow????? I've worked out with the weights three times, walked on the treadmill three times, and I've taken one class of water aerobics. WHY AM I NOT SKINNY, YET????? Oh, yeah, that's right, I forgot, it took me TEN YEARS to get this way.

As you can see by your sidebar, Lisa, I "took the liberty". Hope you don't mind - I was online when I got your comment, so I did it for you.
God bless.

Thank you! NO, I don't mind. I've been meaning to sit down and try, but the usual, life, kept getting in the way! I appreciate it. There is one other thing I'd like to have. I'll email you and let you know.

When you commit to exercise regularly, it's important not to overdo it for the first few weeks. Ramp up so that your body can adjust. Keep a little notebook and chart your steady progress. Once you get up to a routine that you're comfortable with (ie. you can exercise without needing ibuprofen) you can ditch the notebook once it becomes too monotonous.

Thanks, Scott. A notebook sounds like what I need. I've not been consistent with how much weight I'm lifting from time to time. I really haven't paid much attention, in fact. If it was too heavy, I'd lessen it, and vice versa. I'll take your advice and start keeping track.

I hear ya Lisa! I started back on the Firm tapes after Christmas and decided to seek out the ole Ben Gay bottle myself! Think how nice we'll look in our bathing suits this summer though eh??

I was back at it today. The water aerobics is SO much fun!! "They" say it burns tons more calories than regular land exercise. I hope "they" are right!!

Hector, thanks. I'm proud of me too!

Elena, I have those tapes. If I remember correctly, I was going to begin them when you did, the last time. I never even pulled them out of the closet. ha.
