Sally--The Younger Years

Can anyone say, "Sally Jesse Raphael?"

A Day in the Life of 1910

My fourth grade daughter went to a place called Rose Hill for her day of "life in a one room school house" on Tuesday. I went along and it was a lot of fun. All of the children dressed as if it were 1910. They had to take their authentic lunch of dried meats, homemade bread, fresh or dried fruits, etc. They used quills with real ink and slate boards for their schoolwork. The outside games were of that era, also---stilts, jump rope, etc. There was even an outhouse----a one holer.

A fun time, but it was on November 29, 2005, not January 17, 2003 as the date suggests. Somebody, please break my camera! That's the only way I'll ever get one that really works!
