WHEW!!!

I'm MUCH better this morning. Thank you, everyone, for your prayers. I think it's Hubby's turn to be sick. He's in bed. This is okay. I'm much better at taking care of people than I am at being the patient. Yesterday was horrible. I don't wish that upon anyone. I've had french toast and bacon this morning without any dire consequence, so I must be healed!!!

So, today will be filled with laundry and normal chores. The kids and I might make a gingerbread house this evening after swimming. If so, I'll post a picture tomorrow.

Sick

Only one time in my life have I been this sick and that's when I had mastitis (inflammation of the milk ducts during nursing.) I told Hubby this morning to please treat the kids well after I died. This is how bad I felt. I'm having just a moment here of non-shakiness. I can feel more sickness coming on. The moment has passed.

The family is at Mass, celebrating the Immaculate Conception. It is quiet here.

PLEASE, PRAY FOR ME!!!!

Thanks, friends.

Memories

I had so much fun reading Penni's comments over at martha martha that I wanted to do the same on this blog. Stories, please!

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don't speak often,
please post a comment with a
COMPLETELY MADE UP AND FICTIONAL MEMORY OF YOU AND ME. I
t can be anything you want--good or bad--
BUT IT HAS TO BE FAKE.
When you're finished, post this paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified)
about what people DON'T ACTUALLY remember about you.
**big breath** have at it :)

Feast of St. Nicholas

The Feast of St. Nicholas is one of my favorites. This evening we'll watch a video about him. The kids will put out their shoes (which really should have been done last night but the kids were asleep before I remembered.)
In the morning, their shoes will be filled with chocolate coins. We are having a family over for supper, and, in the spirit of giving, they will share a meal with us.

Happy St. Nicholas Day!

One of my favorite songs:
Jolly Old St. Nicholas
